About
Rebuilding Together North Suburban Chicago provides critical home repairs
Our vision is safe homes and communities for everyone.
We are neighbors helping neighbors. Each year, Rebuilding Together North Suburban Chicago’s network of partners, donors, volunteers, and contractors provides skilled home repairs at no cost to low-income homeowners in more than 60 homes. We listen to our neighbors to understand their essential repair needs and improve their safety and well-being, often providing individuals and families with lasting stability.

Our History
Transforming homes, empowering lives.
Rebuilding Together North Suburban Chicago, serving Lake and Cook County in Illinois, is a 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization dedicated to providing essential home repairs and improvements to homeowners in need, all at no cost. We are proud to be one of more than 100 affiliates of the national organization, Rebuilding Together. We started small helping two or three homeowners annually and now our North Suburban Chicago chapter has emerged into a major initiative, improving the quality of life for our neighbors in more than 60 homes every year.
Our Impact
Neighbors helping neighbors.
United in our commitment to ensuring every individual has a safe and healthy home, we have grown from assisting just two or three homeowners annually to becoming a leading initiative that significantly enhances the quality of life for many individuals. Each year, our dedicated team of volunteers tackles repair and rehabilitation projects for approximately 50-60 homes across Lake County and Cook County, Illinois. Our flagship Annual Rebuilding Day in April involves over 250+ volunteers coming together to make a lasting impact in our communities.
